CommonAgape

Christian community, neighbor to neighbor

Love for God and neighbor, put into practice.

CommonAgape is a welcoming, U.S.-focused Christian mutual-aid community where people can share practical needs and offer time, skills, and resources. Inspired by believers sharing what they had and responding to one another in Acts, we see agape love as generous, neighbor-to-neighbor care made tangible.

A place to offer practical care, one neighbor at a time.

The early church offers a picture of love in action.

Acts 2:44–45 and Acts 4:32–35 describe believers sharing what they had and responding to one another’s needs. CommonAgape is inspired by that example: agape love for God and others becomes active, generous care when neighbors make needs known and offer what they can. Sharing a need is an invitation to community, not a guarantee that help will be available; support depends on what neighbors are able to give.

Illustrative examples of what neighbors may share

What we have to give takes many forms.

01

Everyday essentialsUseful things for ordinary needs.

02

Time and careAn extra hour, a ride, or a hand nearby.

03

Skills and resourcesWhat you know, make, fix, or can spare.

A simple rhythm for neighbors helping neighbors.

CommonAgape is being shaped around a direct, person-to-person kind of care. The people involved decide together what support looks like.

  1. 01

    Name a need

Make it easier for the community to understand what would help.

  2. 02

    Offer what you can

Share time, a skill, an everyday essential, or another useful resource.

  3. 03

    Coordinate together

Neighbors connect directly and work out the details with one another.
